Baking Tip: How to keep Chocolate Chips from sinking to the bottom of breads!

by Princess Lacey on May 31, 2012| 2184 Pageviews

My Mother-in-law is an amazing woman. She raised 8 children and is a master in the kitchen. She’s taught me so much, but I still have a long way to go! From her kitchen to yours, here’s an awesome little tip!

Have you ever made banana bread and put chocolate chips in it only to have them sink down to the bottom. This little tip will prevent that from happening. Before adding the chocolate chips to the batter coat them with flour. I just put them in a bowl with about a tablespoon for flour and shake it around. This will make them stick in the batter and not sink down to the bottom!

Do you mix them in the batter with the flour on them or do you just drop them in the pan of batter?

I mix them in with the batter before I pour it in the pan!
